JERANTUT ESCAPADE, MALAYSIA

Jerantut, Pahang, Malaysia
4 September 2014

This time round our voyage was planned for Jerantut and its caves and if we are lucky, National Park via Kuala Tahan.

In Jerantut we stayed at a cosy hotel, Felda Tekam Residences which is very affordable and it has all the basic needs including a swimming pool and b/fast included, all for about USD 50 per nite.

After a light b/fast we headed for adventure

A nice round up of the old town and its laid back atmosphere.

This is the morning market where you'll really be compelled to sample the local cullinaries.

Then its time for exploration of the caves, Terang Bulan and Kota Gelanggi caves.

Terang Bulan caves was most tricky as you will have to squeeze your way through the openings, thanks to our great local guide.

Breathtakingly beautiful, the most beautiful caves so far I've seen.

Kudos to our friendly local guides.

Then another 45 min drive we're off to Kuala Tahan jeti to access the National Park.

We are in the National Park but the canopy walks just closed....late by few minutes

The bumpy boat ride across some turbulent and fast water flow..

A quick stop at local market on the way home.
