HATYAI THAILAND

Holiday road bound to Hatyai, South of Thailand.
12-14 September 2014

Amidst the negative perception of potentially risky situation in Southern Thailand, we chose to travel there by car. At about 6 pm Friday after work we drove North and targeted to arrive in Alor Star, kedah by 11 pm. We are only 4 because Syahid was preparing for exam.

In Alor Star we stayed in Bee Garden Motel for a night and start early to the Thai border through Bukit Kayu Hitam by early morning.

The border was packed with people with long lines but it moves fast, so waiting time was around 15-20 minutes. Please get the insurance from shops or petrol station and fill-up your petrol, bcoz fuel costs double there.

In 40 min we are on the road for Hatyai. It took 40 minutes to reach the city of Hatyai.
We stayed in Centara Hotel Hatyai. This is the best choice Hotel because of its price-service factors but most importantly;Location, really in the middle of the happenings.

Immediately we could see the various array of street food, fruits and drinks all in the surrounding of the hotel.

Our first lunch at Kelantanese restaurant, affordable and predictable.

Then we are off to our first destination, Hatyai Municipal Parks riding Tuk-Tuk to enjoy the skyline and see the Buddha statue.

The view was just magnificent, you can view as far as Songkla.

Then the floating market, marvelous setup and foods to sample.the foods were cooked and prepared spontaneously so you get served hot and fresh.

Don't worry they use long stick to serve you and exchange the money.

We also went to a 3 D centre and having fun with the brain teasers.

Oh ya the night street market were bustling with crowds and the food were just exciting and enjoyful.
 The foods were hygienic too.

Some photos of products founds in various shops.

Then we head back South to Malaysia and stopped at Kuala Perlis just in time for dinner at the seaside Seafood eateries. It was so delicious we ordered a full table of cookings.

Thats all folks....and bye bye Hatyai.
