Jakarta Weekend

The weekend of 30th Jan - 1st Feb 2015, Abah and Ibu planned to spend 3D2N together in Jakarta, Indonesia. 

We booked thru Booking.com for Best Western Mangga Dua Hotel and Residences, a 4 stars Hotel with excellent views, good food and good services.

First Night we just walked near the hotel and found a simple restaurant serving Minang food.

Day 2 

Good Morning Jakarta, its a nice morning breeze coming from the Java Sea. We went down to the gym, after 30 min cardio, we dressed up and went down to breakfast at the Hotel Restaurant.

Then we took taxi to popular shopping spot, Tanah Abang.

Tanah Abang, a place where people come to find cheap clothing and fabrics.

If your feet hurt due to much walking...no problem....massage corner is there to soothe your feet or hand.

As usual Abah favourite spot is the melting pot.

Manual transportation like this one below is one of the main craft in this bustling shopping mall.

Then we went back to Mangga dua Mall, nearer to our Hotel.

Food, food and more food.

 One good reminder....before you sit down and order, make sure you ask the price of each item and have it confirmed....especially DRINKS. If not they will just billed you 3 or 4 times, as they like.

Back to hotel on foot.

This is another mall but more into family entertainment and more up-market merchandising.

Day 3
It was a morning of heavy downpour...and flood will be expected although quite minor.
We took taxi but made u-turn back due to flooded road. Later the hotel fetched us to the Mall with its 4 WD vehicle and with us are some good korean tourists.
